I noticed while working with Elite Safelist and AdTactics Safelistthis morning that there are three things I really hate on websites.

1. Pop ups that lock the page. This is highly annoying and lately these are coming up when you load the page meaning now your stuck viewing an ad when the site you wanted to look at is grayed out behind it. I can see having a pop up window to try and grab someone as they are leaving but what is the point of distracting people from your product?

2. Audio. Not all of it, I don't mind short "Hi this is me and this is my site" clips because they aren't long and usually have a button to turn them off. No this is background sound like music or sound effects like typing. These are usually annoying and will only get people wanting to click as fast as they can AWAY from your page.

3. Video. Not stuff like You Tube hosted videos because those you need to activate before they start streaming. No I'm talking about sites that have streaming video start up when you hit the site. I don't care if it is flash or not, while it may look neat to you it is MUCH nicer for us to sit and watch that on the back end when we aren't watching the counter tick down.

This is just an introductory podcast. Here I basically lay out what I hope to accomplish with the podcast as time goes on.
